This looks really interesting. Sendy is
a self hosted email newsletter application that lets you send trackable emails via Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). Complete with reports, subscriber and list management.
Following up on my earlier post, this looks like a potentially great option for nonprofits. Here in my town we have an umbrella organization that nonprofits can belong to. A group like that could potentially run an installation of Sendy and give access to it for member organizations.
I’m going to try to get a license and play around with it later. If anyone has done that already, please let me kno what your experience has been.
One question I have that I wasn’t able to find online was the templating. It looks like emails have to be totally coded. If it has a template system where designers could sell templates online and Sendy users could easily upload them to their installation (like WordPress) this would be powerful.
